The water, which is a flooded clay pit, has an area of some 80 acres, is very safe and is an ideal place to water ski, sail or windsurf. The modern purpose build clubhouse was built in 1996 and has large changing rooms, hot showers and toilets including facilities for the disabled. There is a large open lounge opening onto a grassed area in front of the lake and an adjacent car park.

Storage facilities for members equipment is available if required.
